The $300,000, 1 1/16 mile, Clement L. Hirsch for 3-year-olds and up will be run this Saturday at Del Mar and features a cast of eight runners. Include Me Out breaks from the rail and won the Grade 1 Santa Margarita earlier this year at Santa Anita, and last out got second place in the Vanity Handicap. Switch looked great winning the 7 furlong A Gleam Handicap last out but may have more difficulty carrying her speed an extra furlong and a half. Amani has been a spectacular superstar in her home country of Chile and has won 10 of 11 races and has won many of her races by many lengths, including a 25-length romp in a Grade 1 down there. Could be overrated or a bona fide superstar. Zafeen's Pearl was no match for Include Me Out in the Vanity but came back to win an allowance race next out, but it will be tough to turn the tables on Include Me Out. Star Billing won the Grade 1 Matriarch two back before running a lackluster 8th in a non-graded stakes last out as the favorite. Great Hot, Kayce Ace, and Quaintly round out the field.
