Quality Road returns to Gulfstream Park as the heavy favorite in the featured Grade 3 $100,000 Hal's Hope Stakes. The one-mile Hal's Hope attracted a field of nine older handicap horses. Quality Road will have to beat his stablemate Harlem Rocker who has run his best races over Aqueduct, including the Grade 1 Cigar Mile, but he will he need to run just as impressively at Gulfstream, where Quality Road is a proven winner. Spin Master is worth a look as a Gulfstream specialist, boasting two 100 Beyer speed figures over this course. Le Grand Cru is coming off of two consecutive Grade 3 wins in the Bold Ruler at Aqueduct and the Kelso at Belmont. You and I Forever will have to return to his 2008 form to have a shot at this race. Colonial Causeway, Helsinki, and Congressional Page round out the field.
This Grade 3 one-mile race will offer some interesting and exciting racing from these older contenders. See if your predictions have Quality Road crossing that finish line first.

Good to see him win.
It was great to see Quality Road win this race. I was a little fearful that he may have injured himself when he acted up prior to the start of the BC Classic. He was the horse I was pulling for on the Road to the Derby last year. To bad he never got the chance to run.
