Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all !
It is a little after 2:00 am in California. I am not up to wait for Santa to come down my chimney. I have to sleep sitting up in a chair tonight, so i have been awake quite a bit. About 12 hours ago I had reconstructive nose surgery . A month ago it was broken when I fell during a race at Hollywood Park and was struck in the face by a horse hoof . I have not been able to breathe from it since. So on Christmas Eve Dr Cole rebroke my nose, reset it and repaired my deviated septums . I look like I was in the ring with Sugar Shane Mosley. Tomorrow is opening day at Santa Anita . Although I look bad, I will ride 4 horses. I'm not going to win a beauty contest, but I hope I can win some races. Until then, I want to win some races on this game. I enjoy playing and watching how well all of you have been doing. I'm very impressed. Keep up the good riding.
On february 6th a new show will begin on the Animal Planet. It is called Jockey's. Several of us were followed, and filmed on and off the track for 6 weeks. It is a 12 episode series showing the day in the life of a jockey. You can go to Animal Planet.com and click on the show title. From there you can click on a link and see a 20 minute preview. I hope you will all watch the show. I look forward to hearing your comments and answering your questions. Until then, I hope all of you enjoy the holidays. May 2009 be a happy and healthy year for all of us.

Hi, Aaron,
Merry Christmas. Hope you have some opening day winners at Santa Anita and also hope for a speedy recovery. I know how painful that must be, plus the frustration.
I've seen you ride and win on Mr. Harry Aleo's, Wild Promises at Bay Meadows this year. I think he's won a few more graded stakes races since then, with you riding.
I'm wondering if there's a site where I could be notified every time he runs? Or any horse that I'm interested in. There used to be one that I used a few years ago.
Btw, Aaron, you're one of my favorite riders. When I'm at Golden Gate Fields, I play several of the tracks.
wish u a speedy recovery and hope u can win some races on your first day back in the saddle ..
Opening day at Santa Anita and I will be there. I will look to say hi Aaron . I hope you are feeling a little better . Now win one for horse race fantasy
Thanks for responding Aron. Yes, I did find that site and have been notified of Wild Promises next race at Gulfstream with you riding 0n 07 March. I'll be wishing you both the best of luck. What a good gal she is.
I mentioned saying that I saw her win at Bay Meadows last year, with you riding. Actually, it was Lopez riding. I took a nice photo of Smokey Stover at Bay Meadows in 2008 with you riding. I got the two horses confused.
Mr. Aleo (deceased) was a friend of mine and the last time I saw Wild Promises run and win was also the last time I spoke to Harry and his lady friend. I took some nice pictures of the horse and his owners that day and was very saddened to here of his death.
I only knew Harry for a few years, but we exchanged snail mail often when his " Lost In The Fog " was racing. In my last conversation with Harry, he said that Smokey was lame and most likely would never race again.
I cherish the close up photo of Smokey Stover and you as you're leading him onto the track from the saddling ring. I love the excellant ride you gave him that day.
I love this game too and am doing quite well. I'll be routing for you and Wild Promises on Saturday.

I watch Jockeys and I love it, it's one of my favorite shows. But, the season finale just aired and I was wondering, will there be another season or is that the end of the show?
P.S. You were one of my favorites!
