Hey everyone. I just want to say a quick hello and I have not forgotten how you guys were my dad's friends over the last two years. I have been reading all the blog entries and have been copying and pasting all my dads entries to make a book of his comments so when I want to talk to him, I can read the funny #$%^& he says.
OK,
Let's start with Ronwar's Plan, and work from there.
Blue116 - Entry 2000 | Prelims 3 - 32% takeout
Blue121 - Entry 4000 | Prelims 3 - 32% takeout
Blue125 - Entry 5000 | Prelims 3 - 32% takeout
Blue129 - Entry 6000 | Prelims 3 - 32% takeout
Grade 3 - Entry 7000 | Prelims 4 - 28% takeout
Grade 2 - Entry 8000 | Prelims 4 - 25% takeout
Grade 1 - Entry 9000 | Prelims 5 - 22% takeout
Everybody knows how wordy I am, but my brain won't stop.
(It's quite annoying, the only time it slows down is when soaked in Alcohol, and then it's even more annoying)
So, I decided to write a few of my thoughts in the blogosphere, where few will see it, few will comment and fewer then will be annoyed.
Plus, the blog allows my Brain to get it all out, maybe then he will let me rest.
CLASS SYSTEM
This class system was developed from the input of the community over several months, collected from blog and forum comments.
The Class of each horse is determined by it's highest SR achieved in actual tournaments. (currently known as Red restriction). Which is the only real measure we currently have to determine a horse's ability.

The Simple Solution
Before the Blues came out, the simple solution would've been to place an SR restriction on the Generals as they existed, at the time.
Instead of having separate restricted tourneys, the Generals could've been structured as the class system.
The SR restriction could've been tied to the purse size, or entry fee.
For example:
Any thoughts or ideas on the Blues and Reds?
I think the concept of both are great, but I'd still like to see more surfaces/ conditions. Also I'd like to see them maxed out.
Mike already said they were going with just 2yo and 3&up age groups, which is great. Now the older horses will have access.
Also they will be ungraded and G3 prelims, which is also good.
In the beginning,
Puddles said,"Let there be Instas", and there were Instas.
