Some of you who have seen my YouTube channel or read my previous posts may have noticed something that might seem strange at first: the fact that when I actually write the name of the 1973 Triple Crown Champion, I write it in capital letters. To accurately tell this story, I have to take you back to the year 1989, specifically October 4th.
It doesn't take a whole lot of digging around to discover the absolute passion that people feel over which horse was the best of all-time. Was it Man o'War, or was it SECRETARIAT?
Of course everybody knows that SECRETARIAT won the Belmont by 31 lengths. It's his crowning achievement, and rightly so. Thing is, SECRETARIAT did amazing things that had nothing to do with his win at the Belmont, things that, like his Belmont, were never seen before or since.
