This Weekend, Everybody Is A VIP!

Michelle and I knew how important both the Pacific Classic and the Travers Stakes are. We also knew that because it's taking us longer to reactivate the tournaments than planned, the community needs a little something special.

2008 Travers Stakes - And The Winner Is...You!

As we continue to finalize and test the new tournament platform so we can get both our jockey and betting tournaments back in full swing again, I convinced management (actually, I smacked them in the head and told them I needed something big for our players) and big you're getting.

New Player Jockey Tournaments

Don't forget - tonight we're starting a New Player Jockey Tournament. If you have not signed up for this event, there's another one starting next week. Just make sure you check the Tournament Schedule on the right. Make sure you read all the qualifications before entering. There will be plenty of tournaments for all members very shortly.

New Player Tournaments Are Now Posted

Although we are still dealing with the new game enhancements, we have added to our tournament calendar three new player jockey tournaments. The first one starts August 19, the second one starts August 23 and the third one starts August 28. Please make sure you qualify before entering.

Win Free Money - $25 Contest Results

We are proud to announce the winner of our first weekly $25 contest for the game player who runs the most races on a single day. Congratulations to Aqacommish, who ran the most races last Wednesday, contest day. Shawn, we will be contacting you soon and you can let us know what address you want us to use for sending you a check.

Update on Tournaments

It came to our attention that there were some glitches (that's a technical term for screw-ups) and some loopholes (you know, the things you take advantage of to avoid taxes) in our game platform. We've identified the issues and are in the process of getting them corrected and modified. The good news is, the tournaments will be even more fun.

New Racing Tournament Schedule Posting Soon

We have received a lot of emails and private messages from players wanting to know about specific jockey and betting tournaments. We try to post new tournaments at least 4 to 7 days prior to their running. My suggestion is that you check the Tournament Schedule Calendar from the upper right-hand corner at the community daily.

The John Eric Longden 400,000 Point Open Jockey Tournament

The tournament wrapped up last night, and we have canceled the results and will be refunding all entry fees to the participants. It has come to our attention that there are methods that allow users to operate the game outside of the way the game and tournaments were originally built to function. To protect the integrity of the game and fair play we are and have been in the process of making several modifications to the software and at the same time will implement some new rules prior to the entry fee based tournaments being reactivated. There will be more details published next week. All tournaments will continue to take entries, if the patch to the game is not available by the start of the next entry fee based tournament, the tournament will be postponed until the patch is available.

The J. Linus McAtee New Member Jockey Tournament Results

The guys in the web department have been making major changes to the servers to make things better for you - many of you have noticed the increased speed that pages are loading on the site. A trade off is we had to push back some of the posting of tournament results by a few days. So here is the J. Linus McAtee New Member tournament results - again, we had quite a few entries that didn't meet the requirements (if you've ran 1500+ races and the tournament is for "New Members" you aren't qualified) or didn't run the required number of races.

Remember to read the tournament requirements when signing up for any tournaments - this is especially important as tournaments with community point entry fees are now in the mix. Congratulations to the winners!
