Friday night the winners of the 2012 Sovereign Awards, the Canadian thoroughbred year-end championships, were announced in a ceremony at Woodbine. Uncaptured was named Champion 2-year-old Male and Horse of the Year. Mark Casse won for Outstanding Trainer and Luis Contreras won for Outstanding Jockey. Get all the results here.

There will still be magnetic wand searches of all patrons and many things, including coolers and large cameras are no longer allowed.
